We’re at WWDC (Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference) and this morning was the Keynote. Apple fans will have already heard the news of the forthcoming iPhone 3G (launching, and in many more countries) July 11th. There’s so much news it’s hard to know where to start and the atmosphere is really amazing; everyone’s very excited about the new 3G iPhone, iPhone 2.0 software, the forthcoming launch of the iPhone App store, and the new .mac: “mobileme“. - Oh and yeah, there’s no SMS synch in mobile me ;) !

We’re loving what is about to happen with the iPhone and really looking forward to developing apps for iPhone and to the launch of the App store. Right now, we’re sat in the Mac OS X State of the Union session.

We’re learning a lot, getting loads of inspiration for how to enhance Treasuremytext and interoperability with iPhone, and we promise to deliver more updates here as the week unfolds.

Treasuremytext is built using Apple’s enterprise level development framework WebObjects.  Ahead of WWDC this week, Paul has been busy at the World WebObjects Developer Conference organised by the WebObjects Community.
Paul will no doubt post in more detail later, but here are some pics for the conference!

Treasuremytext in San Francisco

Treasuremytext is in San Francisco from June 6th to June 17th, and will be at WOWODC and WWDC and many other events, meetings, and parties. As well as working our new Treasuremytext for iPhone app, it looks like we have a pretty busy schedule. It was great to hook up with the Wakoopa guys on the plane from Amsterdam yesterday and we’ll be hanging out with the lovely Sofa people and other friends later on.

Treasuremytext “commended” at E-Services Forum

Treasuremytext attended the E-Services forum in Liverpool today and was commended for our presentation about the service. It was a great event and I met some great people. It was really cool to hear from edocr, Wadja, Momote, Screen Reach, Phonefromhere, Liverpool Ventures, Merseyside ICT and more!

The forum, part of i-techpartner was organised by Marie at AIMES and as usual it was an excellent event.

“The eServices Forum offers a unique setting with pan-European networking for top entrepreneurs, R&D leaders, investors and experts from the eServices sector. This is a unique opportunity to connect with the whole value chain of technology innovation, from R&D leaders via entrepreneurs and investors to international corporations with global market access.”

Vote for us at the startup2.0 competition!

startup2_logo.gif
StartUp2.0 is a competition of European web 2.0 sites”. Well Treasuremytext is a 2.0 startup, and we’re European so we entered! Now we need votes and we need your help.

If you’re a Treasuremytext fan please check out the Startup 2.0 site, sign up, and then vote for us…. You need to register in the Alianzo Blogger Network and have an approved blog in order to vote - (A bit fiddly we know, for all our friends and fans who don’t blog) so if you don’t want to do that then check out our demo videos on sclipo.

One is a lovely movie made by our friends at ICDC.
Ever wondered what other people send by SMS?

The other’s a rather serious product demo

A bit busy today!

tmt_busy.png

It seems we’re a little bit busy today, with lots of traffic. And whilst lots of people are signing up, treasuremytext might be a little slow, or potentially not available for a few minutes. If you experience any problems please try a little later on. We’re doing our best to fix up any issues and to optimize the site so it can handle the load!

Timetravel on Treasuremytext

tmt_timechange.png

Setting the date of messages is now possible on Treasuremytext (we’ve just added the ability for you to change the timestamp and reset the time and date on your messages). So instead of displaying when you saved a message you can change it to display when you received a message.

This is a long awaited feature for many of our users who like to build up an accurate archive of their texting activities. So those archived messages announcing a birth, wishing you a happy valentine’s or a happy new year - can now all be set to the right date and time!

Treasuremytext in Stockholm

We’ve been busy at the Communication & Mobile Applications Forum in Stockholm meeting mobile industry people, developers and VCs.

The Forum, organised by Europe Unlimited has been a great networking event for us and of course its nice to visit Sweden for the first time. Highlights include hearing from:
Aqua Mobile “print to web technologies”
Trippo “Translation on the move”
Rebtel “Low cost international mobile calls”
Squace “Accessing your stuff via your phone, easily”
What a Map “Mobilize your maps!”
GEM “Outdoor Interactive Multimedia System” (Way Cool, we like them a lot!)
Small Planet “Mobile Marketplace Management”

The format of the event was conference / discussion sessions plus presentations and after a little coaching we presented Treasuremytext and won the award for the best presentation in our group. Cool huh!

Promo Video

Oooh, a new promo film for Treasuremytext!
We’ve been lucky enough to work with ICDC (The International Centre for Digital Content) recently, and they’ve created a new promo movie for Treasuremytext. It’s inspired by messages sent to the SMS service. Some (but not all) are mine. The one about the food processor is one of mine - a message from my sister.
