News from WWDC

We’re at WWDC (Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference) and this morning was the Keynote. Apple fans will have already heard the news of the forthcoming iPhone 3G (launching, and in many more countries) July 11th. There’s so much news it’s hard to know where to start and the atmosphere is really amazing; everyone’s very excited about the new 3G iPhone, iPhone 2.0 software, the forthcoming launch of the iPhone App store, and the new .mac: “mobileme“. - Oh and yeah, there’s no SMS synch in mobile me ;) !

We’re loving what is about to happen with the iPhone and really looking forward to developing apps for iPhone and to the launch of the App store. Right now, we’re sat in the Mac OS X State of the Union session.

We’re learning a lot, getting loads of inspiration for how to enhance Treasuremytext and interoperability with iPhone, and we promise to deliver more updates here as the week unfolds.

Treasuremytext in San Francisco

Treasuremytext is in San Francisco from June 6th to June 17th, and will be at WOWODC and WWDC and many other events, meetings, and parties. As well as working our new Treasuremytext for iPhone app, it looks like we have a pretty busy schedule. It was great to hook up with the Wakoopa guys on the plane from Amsterdam yesterday and we’ll be hanging out with the lovely Sofa people and other friends later on.

Treasuremytext “commended” at E-Services Forum

Treasuremytext attended the E-Services forum in Liverpool today and was commended for our presentation about the service. It was a great event and I met some great people. It was really cool to hear from edocr, Wadja, Momote, Screen Reach, Phonefromhere, Liverpool Ventures, Merseyside ICT and more!

The forum, part of i-techpartner was organised by Marie at AIMES and as usual it was an excellent event.

“The eServices Forum offers a unique setting with pan-European networking for top entrepreneurs, R&D leaders, investors and experts from the eServices sector. This is a unique opportunity to connect with the whole value chain of technology innovation, from R&D leaders via entrepreneurs and investors to international corporations with global market access.”

StartUp2.0 is a competition of European web 2.0 sites”. Well Treasuremytext is a 2.0 startup, and we’re European so we entered! Now we need votes and we need your help.

If you’re a Treasuremytext fan please check out the Startup 2.0 site, sign up, and then vote for us…. You need to register in the Alianzo Blogger Network and have an approved blog in order to vote - (A bit fiddly we know, for all our friends and fans who don’t blog) so if you don’t want to do that then check out our demo videos on sclipo.

One is a lovely movie made by our friends at ICDC.
Ever wondered what other people send by SMS?

All PR is good PR but some PR is just wonderful

It’s been busy at Treasuremytext over the last few days and as news of our service spreads through blogland it’s lovely to see a unique take on technology writing! Came across this yesterday: it’s a review of Treasuremytext over on king.kong the gadget and tech monkey blog.

Originality is not dead!  We’re loving king kong’s style:

“i have been smsing the lady monkeys for sometime now, and its totally tmth (too much to handle) with all the ladies i am trying to keep track and having to delete my messages of constant fear of a girl getting hold of my phone, but the pimps over at treasuremytext have come up with the perfect solution! a online storage place for all your text messages which can be organized in many different ways to maximize sms functionality and use!”

thanks a bunch from the ‘pimps at treasuremytext

Er, and… on Mobile Messaging 2.0

Thanks to the fabulous Imran Ali, Treasuremytext has been featured on the Mobile Messaging 2.0 blog. I first met Imran at Barcamp Manchester recently. Imran’s written a great write up of the background to Treasuremytext, and raised some key questions for its future development which we will answer soon. (Data portability, and the ‘open mobile’ question being key issues.)

And we’re on eHub!

We’ve been interviewed by Tonie van Ringelestijn for Sprout.nl a Dutch Technology Business Publication. The interview’s about why we chose to base part of our operations in Amsterdam; because we really like the startup culture there.
