<i>"(If you’re sat in a train, can your iPhone tell how fast you’re traveling? I didn’t pay attention in Physics classes; my guess is it can’t. For one, it would play havoc with super monkey ball but the accelerometer, I think only detects changes to motion; not motion itself?? I digress…)"</i>

Indeed, it detects acceleration (i.e., G-Forces). Moving at a steady speed means the accelerometer detects nothing. Sitting in a car or bus does wreak havoc with super monkey ball btw. It's an interesting challenge if you've completed it already ;)

Anyway, you can in fact detect how fast an iPhone 3G is moving, to a certain minimum, by using the GPS. There are two apps in the app store already doing this, one called 'Speed' and the other something like 'Speedbox'. Very inspired indeed.

And send me that TMT app! My iPhone can't forward SMS unfortunately.

Same experience here, Cydia will be the way we go to provide the current app for iPhone 2.0 users. For pre 2.0 users ziphone still works niceley but we'll update with instructions for 2.0 users and how to go about getting Pwnage.

Awesome news guys! Installer 4 on iphone 2.0 is still only beta and quite buggy. Any chance you're going to release the updated/jailbroken version of treasure my text on Cydia (this comes with the Pwnage 2.0 tool)?

By the way, I noticed you all recommend Ziphone, but I don't believe that will work with the 2.0 software. I'd recommend Pwnage 2.0 - http://wikee.iphwn.org/news:pwnage20announcement

Here's a useful guide for anyone wanting to jailbreak 2.0 - http://sleepers.net/news/guides/pwnage-20-guide/
