Kerim Satirli just suggested a great idea for adding status updates to a Wordpress blog using Treasuremytext and the KB Advanced RSS Widget.
Why would you want to do this?
- Because sometimes a SMS is easier than writing a whole blog post!
- Because you want to update on the move!
- Because you’re a very very social person!
It’s better than….
As Kerim points out people can also use Twitter or Pownce to do this but for some of us in Europe, sending an SMS to Treasuremytext’s Dutch or UK number is cheaper than texting other service (or potentially free depending on your network / plan).
How it works
- Download this great Wordpress plugin
- Upload to your Wordpress plugins directory
- Enable and configure
- Start texting!
