It sure does what I looked for. I'm a collector, so I hardly ever delete any SMS. The previous phone I had was one which would let me save unlimited SMS (opposite to some phones which limit the amount of SMS you can save), but not deleting a single SMS made my phone very slow. I now have a new one, which seems to have the same problem. I'd like to get rid of all the SMS from my phone and now look for a simple way to back them up some place so I don't need to delete them for ever. This seems to be a good way (I'm a Vodafone user, they allow you chose an extra contract for as short as one month to send a 1000 SMS during that period for little money, which seems like a good thing to do now).

Thanks. I'll look into this and will see if I can get an invite.

Hi Sam,
We do intend to implement a CSV file export, and all your messages will be accessible via an API so you could pull them into other applications. (Once we move the new system out of beta in a few weeks). For now, the ways you can get messages out are RSS and email archiving (you can get email backups of each message).

We're always open to new suggestions - would that do what you had in mind?

Hi Katie,

I read about this in the signup section of MoMo and decided to have a look at the service. I was wondering.. once I archive my SMS at Treasuremytext, am I able to get my SMS out of the service as an export? Or is it locked inside your service?

You could mail me back too if you'd like to.

Hi Rosimo,

thanks for your comment. We are indeed trying to fix the iPhone issue with SMS forwarding and SMS archiving - we too have iPhones and desperately need to be able to forward. More on that coming soon - our iPhone beta (proof of concept) application is coming very soon.

Best wishes,
Katie

I love your website, it's wonderful to be able to archive all you my precious texts from my daughters which I was having great difficulty getting off my mobile, but just as I was celebrating finding you, I changed to an iphone and discovered that it is not currently possible to forward texts!! I do hope that you take forward the iphone compatibility I'm sure there would be plenty of other similarly frustrated iphone users out there would be delighted!!
