teaser.jpg

We’ve been busy making a brand new version of Treasuremytext and we’re about to relaunch it with a host of new features to make saving your SMS even better. So what’s new in Treasuremytext 2?

Friends, lovers, fans, contacts
You already know the importance of keeping those treasured messages from your friends, and the new Treasuremytext lets you keep in touch with your friends even better.

Super slick new interface
We made it even easier to manage your messages; make your own folders and drag and drop.

Text Streams
Make your own public page for your favorite messages; show them off to the world!

What’s everyone else texting?
Text Streams are also a great way to follow friends old and new. Check out the Text Streams from other Treasuremytext users; add the best to your favorites and see what everybody else sends, and saves by SMS.

Take your SMS with you

Are you a Facebook fan or bebo babe, or want to publish your latest messages on your blog? We’re working on tools to let you plug your treasured messages into your other spaces online.

International SMS
With super low cost international SMS you can send messages all around the world from as little as 5 Euro Cents. And when your friends reply to messages you send from Treasuremytext you get the reply on your phone.

iPhone Archiving
If you’re an iPhone user, we’ll be making it easy for you to archive your SMS from your iPhone over your data connection. With no need to send messages by SMS, treasuring them will be easier than ever.

We’re in Beta
We’ve been running an invite only beta to get a few testers trying out the new site and checking it all works like it should. We got great feedback and incorporated a few new additions, tweaks and suggestions and it’s nearly ready. If you really can’t wait to try out the new site, visit our new beta site, for a sneak preview, or catch up on new developments on the blog.

Coming soon!
If you’re an existing user at Treasuremytext we’ll let you know as soon as the new service is ready for you. In the New Year we will move all existing user accounts over to the new system. All you need to do is keep treasuring your SMS as normal. When you log into the new site, they’ll all be there waiting for you and you’ll be able to do a whole lot more with your messages.

Happy Christmas!
Christmas is a time of good will, of giving, and hopefully having a lot of fun. Wishing you a Happy Texting Christmas from the Treasuremytext team. Got Xmas txt? Special SMS from ur loved ones? Got a new phone and need to keep all ur favorite messages? - Send them to us and we’ll keep treasuring them for you!

I love your website, it’s wonderful to be able to archive all you my precious texts from my daughters which I was having great difficulty getting off my mobile, but just as I was celebrating finding you, I changed to an iphone and discovered that it is not currently possible to forward texts!! I do hope that you take forward the iphone compatibility I’m sure there would be plenty of other similarly frustrated iphone users out there would be delighted!!

    Hi Rosimo,

thanks for your comment. We are indeed trying to fix the iPhone issue with SMS forwarding and SMS archiving - we too have iPhones and desperately need to be able to forward. More on that coming soon - our iPhone beta (proof of concept) application is coming very soon.

    Best wishes,
    Katie

    Hi Katie,

I read about this in the signup section of MoMo and decided to have a look at the service. I was wondering.. once I archive my SMS at Treasuremytext, am I able to get my SMS out of the service as an export? Or is it locked inside your service?

You could mail me back too if you’d like to.

    Hi Sam,
We do intend to implement a CSV file export, and all your messages will be accessible via an API so you could pull them into other applications. (Once we move the new system out of beta in a few weeks). For now, the ways you can get messages out are RSS and email archiving (you can get email backups of each message).

We’re always open to new suggestions - would that do what you had in mind?

It sure does what I looked for. I’m a collector, so I hardly ever delete any SMS. The previous phone I had was one which would let me save unlimited SMS (opposite to some phones which limit the amount of SMS you can save), but not deleting a single SMS made my phone very slow. I now have a new one, which seems to have the same problem. I’d like to get rid of all the SMS from my phone and now look for a simple way to back them up some place so I don’t need to delete them for ever. T

This seems to be a good way (I’m a Vodafone user, they allow you chose an extra contract for as short as one month to send a 1000 SMS during that period for little money, which seems like a good thing to do now).

Thanks. I’ll look into this and will see if I can get an invite.
